On August 14, Cristo Rey De La Salle welcomed Br. Nick González, FSC, Brother Visitor of the Lasallian District of San Francisco New Orleans, for its Mass of the Holy Spirit.
During his visit, Br. Nick reflected on the Lasallian classroom as a place of encounter, where educators and students recognize the presence of God in one another. He also spoke about the strong connection between the Lasallian charism and the Cristo Rey mission, particularly their shared commitment to expanding access to quality Catholic education and creating opportunities for young people.
Br. Nick also highlighted Cristo Rey De La Salle’s meaningful presence in the Fruitvale community and expressed his hope that its students will grow into future leaders and advocates for their community.
