Registration is now open for the 48th Huether Lasallian Conference, to be held November 18-20, 2021 in Baltimore, Maryland.

The theme selected for this year’s Conference is, “Compassionate Dialogue and Courageous Conversations: Pathways to Equity and Belonging.”  Inspired by the Institute’s recent publication, Declaration on the Lasallian Educational Mission, the gathering will focus on the challenge of conducting Lasallian ministries as places that prophetically and creatively address issues of racial justice, gender, socioeconomic inequalities, and educational accessibility.

The Conference will welcome as its keynote speaker and plenary session facilitator Ken Shelton, nationally recognized for his expertise in educational technology, particularly as it relates to issues in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.

A feature new to the Conference will be a series of “thought partner sessions” facilitated by Dr. Kerri Mulqueen,
assistant professor in the school of education at Manhattan College. During each session, participants will examine sections of the Declaration on the Lasallian Educational Mission and engage in table conversations to learn from one another how participants will work to fulfill the vision of the Declaration.  These will replace the Conference’s traditional breakout sessions.

The Conference also will include its annual Distinguished Lasallian Educators / Brother John Johnston Awards presentations, District gatherings, first-time attendee social, and educational resource exhibits.

Visit the La Salle RELAN Huether page for information and to register.
