Justin-Siena High School in Napa, CA has announced the appointment of Lars Lund as the school’s Interim President, effective July 1, 2021. The announcement was made to the school community by Board of Trustees Chair Tom Durante.
Lund, who currently is the director of development at the Bay Scholars Program in San Francisco, CA, succeeds outgoing president David Holquin and will serve as Justin-Siena’s president while the school continues its search process for a permanent president.
“I am grateful,” Lund said, “for this opportunity to serve, and will devote my full energies to ensuring Justin-Siena’s continuing growth, quality, and positive impact. I am looking forward to getting to know–and learning from–the students, alumni, parents, teachers, staff, and all those who make Justin Siena the pride of the Napa Valley and its local communities.”
Prior to his work at Bay Scholars, Lund was a teacher, Associate Principal, Principal, and ultimately President at Junipero Serra High School in San Mateo, CA. He also served as Assistant Superintendent for Faith Formation and Religion Curriculum K-12 for the Archdiocese of San Francisco. Lund holds a B.A. from Santa Clara University and an M.A. from the University of San Francisco.
Board of Trustee’s Chair Durante stated, “Lars clearly understands the importance of our Lasallian charism and core values and he is deeply committed to his Catholic faith and the mission of Catholic education. He looks forward to working with the Justin-Siena community to build on the school’s accomplishments, celebrate its extraordinary heritage, and explore its aspirations for the future.”
