Intention: That our Lasallian schools will continue to be places where the sinfulness of exclusion and marginalization is dispelled by the light of acceptance and respect.
Today’s Gospel | Mark 3:31-35
The mother of Jesus and his brothers arrived at the house. Standing outside, they sent word to Jesus and called him. A crowd seated around him told him, “Your mother and your brothers and your sisters are outside asking for you.” But he said to them in reply, “Who are my mother and my brothers?” And looking around at those seated in the circle he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers. For whoever does the will of God is my brother and sister and mother.”

Your profession commits you to teach children the science of salvation, and you are bound to do this with total disinterestedness. Do you do this with the sole view of procuring the glory of God and your neighbor’s salvation? Declare to God that you will never have any other intention than that.
Eternal Father, we all are one in you, bonded to each other through the grace of your presence in our lives. In doing your will, we help to build your Kingdom of justice, healing the differences and distances between us. Strengthen our faith and our resolve to serve one another as brothers and sisters, especially those who are most in need. Make of us a selfless and caring people that is devoted to bringing our world to the saving knowledge of you. We ask this of you who lives and reigns with your Son and the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever. Amen.
