Intention: That God will continue to bless us the Lasallian Family with opportunities to serve all persons, especially those most in need, and to help build a more compassionate and just world.
Today’s Gospel | Matthew 5:17-19
Jesus said to his disciples: “Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill. Amen, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or the smallest part of a letter will pass from the law, until all things have taken place. Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do so will be called least in the Kingdom of heaven. But whoever obeys and teaches these commandments will be called greatest in the Kingdom of heaven.”

You share in the ministry of the Guardian Angels by making known to children the truths of the Gospel, which you have been chosen by God to announce. You must teach them how to put these truths into practice, and you must have very great zeal to procure their accomplishment of this practice.
In imitation of (Saint Paul), you must encourage them to live in a manner worthy of God, because God has called them to his kingdom and his glory.
Your zeal must go so far in this that to achieve it, you are ready to give your very life, so dear to you are the children entrusted to you.
Eternal Father, how is it that we can live so much of our lives in self-righteousness, thinking that our ways are always right and best? Bless us with the humility to realize that every one of us is both saint and sinner, both wise person and fool. Teach us not to fear our brokenness but rather to embrace it as a call to repentance and conversion. May we find our wholeness in our oneness with one another in you. We ask this of you who lives and reigns with your Son and the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever. Amen.
