The Dominican Ecclesiastical Institute of Albuquerque, NM has named Lewis University-Albuquerque and the Christian Brothers of New Mexico as recipients of its 2015 Lumen Sancti Spiritu Award. The presentation was made at a ceremony held on April 19 at the Hotel Albuquerque.
Brothers Donald Mouton, FSC and Brian Dybowski, FSC accepted the award, which is given annually in recognition of local contributions to Catholic education and evangelization. In 2009, the Midwest and legacy New Orleans-Santa Fe Districts co-sponsored the opening of the Albuquerque campus of Lewis University.
The Dominican Ecclesiastical Institute is a teaching ministry of the Dominican Central Province of St. Albert the Great, rooted in the foundational vision of St. Dominic, and promoting a unique collaborative ministry of education and adult faith formation.
