Each school will also send two or more moderators in order to establish a 1:10 adult to student ratio.

Each school determines its own means of selecting participants. LSL typically has drawn students from the following areas of campus life:
Student government elected or appointed leaders, especially the ASB executive council (it is recommended that those elected to specific offices be expected to take part in LSL)
Student leaders engaged in Campus Ministry
Student leaders who serve as Yearbook Editors
Student leaders in other key areas: athletics, drama, music, peer counseling, etc.

Cost:
The cost per person (including adults) is $325.00. This includes lodging, food, materials, T-shirt, and other administrative costs. Please see your school moderator for information about how this cost can be paid, as financial aid is available in many schools and the cost to students will vary.

Schedule:
LSL begins on a Sunday afternoon and concludes the following Friday at noon. The program includes daily prayer, high-energy speakers, leadership skill training sessions, practicum committees, idea-sharing workshops, socials and networking, and, of course, three meals a day. The schedule is busy, but participants are afforded several hours a day of recreational or downtime.
