The Board of Trustees of Justin-Siena High School in Napa, California has announced that David Holquin will serve as the next President of Justin-Siena High School, effective mid-January, 2018. The announcement was made by Board of Trustees chair Dennis Pedisich.
Holquin is currently the Director of Development at Bellarmine College Preparatory in San Jose, California. Prior to that, he served at Justin-Siena 2004-2015 in a variety of roles, including teacher, campus minister, summer programs coordinator, admissions director, and chief advancement officer. In 2014-2015, he served the school as Interim Principal.
As Development Director at Bellarmine College Preparatory, Holquin and his advancement team raised $3.7 million in annual operations, $2 million in capital projects, and $2 million in endowment gifts. He also managed a $6.5 million capital campaign (STEM and Innovation Campaign). His work was noted for its relationship-building and increases in parent, alumni, and annual giving.
Commenting on his appointment as Justin-Siena president, Holquin stated, “I am very excited to be returning to Justin-Siena—a place that has played an important role in my own life journey. I am eager to partner with the many talented educators in our work to provide educational excellence, in a loving, Christ-centered community. Justin-Siena knows no limits when we nurture our relationships, focus on what is best for students, and work together on behalf of the Brothers and the students entrusted to our care.”
He continued, “Our Lasallian call to form the next generation of servant leaders who will work for justice making positive impacts on their communities is a sacred one. Serving as Justin-Siena’s President is an awesome responsibility and one for which I am humbled and grateful to the Board of Trustees and the De La Salle Christian Brothers. I am also filled with gratitude to the entire community in anticipation of the work we will do together to shape the next chapter of Justin-Siena’s history and further our impact in the Napa Valley and beyond.”
In making the announcement, board chair Pedisich said, “The Board of Trustees and David look forward to the new year ahead and remain resolved to advance the mission of Justin-Siena and the De La Salle Christian Brothers on whose behalf we serve.
